Weather
If you haven't been outside lately I will tell you now its not pretty. The wind freezes my face and fingers, the slush doesn't help either. I have a hard time believing in Global warming just because I feel the world is on a cycle. We had the Ice Age and now we are heading towards the heat. Its going to keep coming and going around. I would like to state that global warming is not just the world heating. Its affected by the way people live their lives. Poluting the air and a whole list of things, all things not good for the environment. Living in Minnesota gives me the advantage to witness the freezing cold weather first hand. It never seems clear to us that the earth's temperature is rising. When the information starts to become more extreme, I believe than is the only time people will actually listen and try to change but by that time it will be too late. Its affecting the earth as we speak its just taken as a joke to most so...

What book/movie/song changed my perspective
I would have to say alot of movies change the way I look at things. It also depends on the type of movies, Im not talking about comedy or horror, but actual biographies. Movies that focus on tragities or ones that point out flaws in our society. I think they change my perspective because I know about most of them I just choose not to notice, but when a movie comes out Im forced to accept the reality and learn from it or criticize it. Movies have the most impact because it can also show me what others are doing to change this and I can always jump on the bandwagon.

What changed me
I can't say specifically what changed my life but I do think alot of movies have impacted the way I view the world. I wonder if what happened in "I am Legend" could really happen. I think about the movie where Robin Williams is a robot( the name isn't coming to mind) but in that movie there is so many high tech devices in there that it really does change the way I see people in the world around me. I know there are people out there who really do like all the technology but I don't want it to take over our lives. I don't want people to rely on plastic surgury to cure their problems. I believe they sure get outside and enjoy life for what it is. I dont need a machine to start my coffee and wheel it into my room so I can wake up. I don't mind walking into the kitchen every morning and starting it by hand. I think robots are nice for people who really need help, like the elderly, but give someone a job as a live in nurse so everyone can have a chance to do what they feel they were put on this earth to do. Its nicwe to look at in a museum or something but I wouldnt want my life to be run by technology. I'll face everything myself.

Professors
I do believe that most professors don't take the time to actually get to know their students. They assume we are just here to listen to them all day long. I find it much more enjoyable to be in class when the professor actually knows me. Im not just there to be a stick with a brain on the end. Yes I want to learn and discover new things but I am also a human being and I can't sit like a robot and consume information 24-7. When you get to know your students you understand them on such a different level that i think it will help professors actually be better teachers. You will see us a people and part of your team because we all have to work together or else they will be out of a job and we will not learn anything.
